Candidate Terms

The terms for using DeepHire to record an interview, answer a reference request, or use the candidate portal.

Effective November 7, 2026

These Terms apply when you use DeepHire to record or submit an interview, answer a reference request, make a video cover letter, or use the candidate portal at deephire.com/my (together, the "service"). "DeepHire", "we", and "us" mean DeepHire. "You" means the person who uses the service. Employers and recruiters who use DeepHire have a separate agreement with us.

When you click Start interview, Start, or a similar button, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

DeepHire provides software that employers and recruiters (each an "employer") use to collect and review candidate interviews and references. The employer decides who to invite, what to ask, and how to use your answers, and it makes all hiring decisions. DeepHire is not your employer and does not promise any result, reply, or job.

We may change, add, or remove features of the service at any time.

Your content

Your recordings, answers, files, and other information you submit are "your content". You keep any ownership rights you have in your content.

You give DeepHire and the employer a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, analyze, transcribe, adapt, display, and share your content as needed to provide, secure, and improve the service, to support the employer's hiring process, and to meet legal duties. The license continues for as long as we or the employer keep your content as described in the Privacy Notice.

You confirm that you have the right to submit your content and that it does not break the law or the rights of another person.

Automated tools and AI

The service uses automated tools, including artificial intelligence, to process your content, for example to transcribe, summarize, organize, and evaluate answers for the employer. The Privacy Notice explains how this works. By starting, you consent to this processing. If you do not consent, or you need an accommodation, contact the employer before you start.

Your choices

You can view and delete your interviews in the candidate portal at deephire.com/my, or ask the employer to delete them. The Privacy Notice explains what happens after a deletion and the other rights you have.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service. For example, do not access data that is not yours, interfere with or disrupt the service, try to get around its security, upload harmful code, or impersonate another person.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a recording or upload will succeed.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, DeepHire and its affiliates, officers, employees, and suppliers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost opportunities, data, or profits, or for any decision an employer makes. Our total liability for all claims related to the service is limited to US $100.

Some places do not allow some of these limits. In those places, the limits apply only as far as the law allows. Nothing in these Terms limits a right that the law does not allow you to give up.

Changes

We may update these Terms. The updated Terms apply from the effective date shown above. If you keep using the service after that date, you accept the updated Terms.

General

The laws of the State of Ohio, USA, govern these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of the place where you live requires otherwise. The state and federal courts located in Summit County, Ohio, have exclusive jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you the right to use a local court. If a part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a part of these Terms, we do not waive it. We may assign these Terms. These Terms and the Privacy Notice are the full agreement between you and DeepHire about the service.
